Businesses complete a verification step before they can receive requests. Co. reg, tax status, address, and director identity
Secure payments
Where supported, you pay through the platform. The payment is held securely and released to the business when the job is done.
Real reviews
Reviews come from customers who used the business through ShokaConnect, so reputation is built on actual work.
Help when something goes wrong
If a job is not done as agreed, raise it through the platform before payment is released and our team will help resolve it.
Your information is protected
We handle personal information in line with POPIA. See our Privacy Policy.
Open, not exclusive
A community preference only helps you discover people. It never limits who you can trade with.

Safety tips when hiring
- Check the business profile, verification and reviews before you accept a quote
- Get the scope, price and timeline in writing through the platform
- Keep payments on ShokaConnect where supported, so you stay protected
- Be careful of anyone asking for full payment upfront outside the platform
- Report anything that feels wrong
For businesses
Protect yourself and your customers
- Keep conversations and quotes on the platform
- Agree the scope clearly before you start work
- Never share passwords or one-time PINs with anyone, including people claiming to be from ShokaConnect
- Be wary of requests that ask you to pay a fee to receive work
