About ShokaConnect
We connect people with businesses they can trust.
ShokaConnect is a Johannesburg-based marketplace. It brings together households, businesses, professionals and suppliers from South Africa and across the diaspora, so finding the right provider, or the right customer, is quick and safe.
Our story
From a diaspora business network to a marketplace for everyone
ShokaConnect started as a platform to bridge the diaspora for business success. For many diaspora entrepreneurs, finding trusted partners, suppliers and customers meant asking around, scrolling through WhatsApp groups and hoping for the best. Distance made connecting and trading feel scattered.
We built ShokaConnect to change that: one place where businesses are verified, quotes can be compared and deals can be managed securely. Businesses joined to find each other. Now we are opening the same trusted marketplace to households and individuals, so anyone who needs a service can find a business they can rely on.
Our mission
We are not replacing community trust. We are giving it infrastructure.
